"Mancai" — where *man* drifts and *cai* blooms into color. This soft box quietly holds your everyday: lipstick, keys, a few cards, a spritz of fragrance. Anyone who opens it gets lost in the surface — that's lacquer, water, and the hand of a master artisan.

A modern translation of the Chinese *zhuānglián* (the bridal cosmetics case of old). Small in size, big on ritual — every time you pull it from your bag, it becomes a tiny ceremony.

Base fabric: Silver-thread shimmer satin

Surface: Natural lacquer (raw *urushi*, tapped from the lacquer tree)

Technique: Floating lacquer — water as canvas, lacquer as ink; the colors drift freely across the water's surface before being lifted onto the satin

Lining: Velvet (soft to the touch, gentle on valuables)

Closure: Smooth-glide metal zipper
